This February, Season is delighted to be hosting In Place, a guest exhibition on design. Through the work of designers Alisa Welby, Holly Zeng, Jungie Choi, Micheal McCabe, and Shaun Naufahu, the show reflects on the diverse manifestations of contemporary diasporas in Aotearoa.
Each maker offers us a lens into the rich stories they hold connection with and the wider networks they carry. The works call into focus the nuance and multiplicity of diasporic identities, inviting us to reflect on the possibility for more embodied futures and the forms these might take. In Place runs from Friday 3 to Friday 24 February 2023. For the duration of the show, the gallery will be open Thursday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm.
